Going for summaries again so that I can work on the other changes discussed in discord.
Ashara vs Aaron Black
Aaron Black came out motivated in this one. It seemed that all the negative talk about him after walking out on Jensen has fueled him. He made short work of the larger Ashara eventually making him tap out with the Blacklist. Aaron Black looks to be focused on his title match at the PPV and can’t wait to get his hands on Shio Corin.
WINNER: AARON BLACK
Jack Griffith vs Jensen
This match didn’t happen and Jensen was angry about it. The big screen showed cops in the back arresting Griffith and Jensen made the dash to where they were at. Already getting the win on a technicality Jensen wasn’t satisfied and super kicked a handcuffed Jack Griffith. The aspiring face of the company sure made sure to take out the garbage with a bang.
WINNER: JENSEN
Shawn Urban vs. Shio Corin
In what most analysts are calling the closest match in GCW history both wrestlers took each other to the limits. There were multiple close pinfalls by both. At one point there was controversy when Urban thought the ref counted 3 but Corin’s shoulder was up. In the end the difference was another distraction from the Corin family who told Urban they knew where Nigel Alexander was before Shio hit the Rappers Delight and got the victory.
WINNER: SHIO CORIN
Devils of Apocalypse vs Electric Ice
Electric Ice stood no chance in this one. Hugh Reynolds was all over Raiden Sparks to start and Titanic couldn’t mount much of a comeback for his team. Seth and Hugh managed to beat down both opponents until they could barely do anything to defend themselves. The match ended with Seth Corin hitting the Vigilante Driver for the win.
WINNER: Devils of Apocalypse
John Styles & Drew Murdock vs Barton Massey & Owen Hawes
Early on it appeared as if Barton Massey was going to single handedly carry his team to victory. He was taking John Styles to the limit in the beginning of the match. John Styles managed to counter a single punch that gave him enough time to tag in Drew Murdock who came in and never looked back. Massey managed to make a take to Hawes after Murdock stunned him but Hawes came in and let Murdock get first punch yet again. Murdock gained his first submission victory in GCW by making Hawes tap out to the Icontamer.
WINNER: DREW MURDOCK
After the main event Nigel Alexander appeared (!) and announced that the final of the tournament will take place at the PPV but over the next 2 weeks the two teams will face each other in singles matches.
