The GCW show intro flashes across the screen as ‘Sabotage’ by the Beastie Boys blasts in the background. We cut to the set as the Vindication pyro goes off, various shades of red, yellow and white blast off as the lights dim. We cut to the Commentary booth where Beast Jackson and Terry Kohl are sitting.
Kohl: Welcome to Friday Night Vindication LIVE FROM BIRMINGHAM, ALABAMA!!!
*There is a cheer from the crowd at the mention of Birmingham*
Kohl: We have an exciting show ahead of us tonight as Darius Seeiso takes on John Styles as our Main Event.
Beast: Don’t forget the Champion vs Champion brawl as International Champion Edgar Whateley takes on the dastardly United States Champion Sway Archer!
Kohl: All in the run up to Malice In Wonderland in what is sure to be an exciting Road To ExtraVaganZa!
*The screen goes black as a message appears up in bold writing*
‘AND NOW A MESSAGE FROM NIGEL ALEXANDER!’
A MESSAGE FROM NIGEL ALEXANDER
The camera pans to an inside shot of Nigel Alexander’s office. He is sat at his desk with security standing at the door. He is slightly bruised up. He looks into the camera and gives a small smile.
“Hello GCW Universe! Tonight I wanted to tell you of the plans for GCW Malice In Wonderland. Specifically based around one match that I feel will provide opportunity to our roster. The match in question?”
Nigel clears his throat and then claps his hands together.
“The Hardcore Rumble. We will be having qualifiers in the run up to it, specifically these qualifiers will decide which number will be given to those of the roster not in a title match at Malice. The intentions of this rumble? To decide who will fight the Hardcore Champion in the week running up to ExtraVaganZa, the biggest show in GCW History”
Nigel gets up revealing a whiteboard next to him.
“So the rules of a Hardcore Rumble are simple. The arena is set up with weapons outside, such as chairs, kendo sticks and such, you can only be eliminated by being thrown over the top rope so feel free to enter and exit the ring at will. Our referees will be keeping an eye on things to ensure eliminations are properly officiated”
“Now, our chosen competitors are Kenneth Rodman – Formerly Known as The Answer. El Masko, Andrew Jordan, Jesse James, Dan Henderson and Brandon Irving. These six gentlemen would do well to try and succeed here and lay their hand on some prestigious GCW gold, you all will be expected to prove yourselves at Malice”

Edgar Whateley vs. Sway Archer BY OWEN HAWES
Fink: The following contest is scheduled for one fall!
The lights go off, and the drumbeats of Kanye West’s Black Skinhead begin to shake the arena. Sway Archer emerges from behind the curtain to a chorus of cheers from the Birmingham audience. He kisses his wrist and begins his walk down the ramp.
Fink: Introducing first, wrestling out of Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 189 pounds, he is your Global Championship Wrestling United States Champion, Sway Archer!
Sway enters the ring and points a single finger to the sky, as he does, a shower of golden sparks begin to fall behind him. As the sparks die down, Sway Archer sits down by the ring’s far right corner and begins to pray.
The lights go completely black and smoke fills the stage - a green spotlight follows Whateley down to the ring as he carries a large, leatherbound, ancient looking book wrapped in black felt - with strange golden symbols imprinted on it.
Fink: And his opponent, wrestling out of the Mountains of Madness, weighing in at 225 pounds, he is your Global Championship Wrestling International Champion, Edgar Whateley!
He sits in the ring cross-legged and removes the book, studies a few passages, and as the main, higher pitched synth line of the music starts, the lights fade up to a green glow, and then continue to fade to the regular house lights. At this stage he places the book back in its cover and removes his overcoat.
Kohl: Hear we go, Beast, our opening bout is a champion vs. championship match. Neither title is on the line, but how important would it be for either man to gain a victory over the other?
Beast: You got that right, we’re going to find out who the better champion is right here.
Kohl: And here we go!
Both men lock up in the middle of the ring, headlock applied by Archer. Whateley pushes Archer into the corner forcing the referee to begin his five-count for a clean break. Whateley appears to slowly back off but instead lands a quick forearm to the face of Archer. Sway Archer angrily slaps Whateley across the face, leading only to a snarl from the face of the International Champion.
Kohl: Archer is not backing down from the much bigger Edgar Whateley
Beast: Damn right! Archer just made a huge statement!
Both men look at each other and lock up again. Headlock by Archer, Whateley backs off and pushes Archer across the ring. Archer runs the ropes and ducks a clothesline from Whateley. Archer bounces off the opposite ropes a running shoulder block that does nothing but shake the much larger Whateley. Archer runs the ropes again and attempts to hit another shoulder block to the same result. Archer runs a third time and ducks a clothesline from Whateley and returns with a running crossbody that takes Whateley off of his feet. Archer begins to throw stiff right and left hands on the downed Whateley, who is doing all he can to block. Sway Archer gets up and absorbs all the cheers from the audience.
Sway Archer goes to bring Edgar Whateley to his feet, but Whateley counters with a knee to the midsection. Whateley then quickly hits a snap suplex on Archer. He goes for a quick pin, but Archer kicks out at one. Whateley begins to hit Archer with a number of stiff crossface strikes to the face of his opponent. As Archer begins to stagger to his feet, Edgar Whateley begins to shout at him. “Is this what you wanted? You don’t know what I’ve seen!”
Edgar begins to stiffly kick Archer in the chest. One kick after another, with each louder than the last, begin to show marks on the chest of Sway Archer. Edgar signals for the end. He puts Sway Archer’s head between his legs, and lifts him up, grabbing both of his arms.
Kohl: It looks like Whateley is about to hit The Thing That Should Not Be!
Archer wiggles his wait out and hits Edgar with a dropkick. He hits him with another. He then hits him with a quick headscissors takedown that sends Whateley across the ring. Edgar Whateley staggers to the corner, and as he gets up is met by a running forearm. Edgar Whateley is down and out. Archer points to the sky and goes to the apron.
Beast: Kohl, are you ready! Are you ready to see one of the most beautiful moves in the game? Are you ready to touch the sky!
Archer springboards off the top rope and down a full shooting star press rotation, but is quickly met with a forearm from Edgar Whateley, knocking him out cold. He goes for the cover. 1… 2… Kick out from Archer.
Edgar goes to pick Sway Archer up and try to hit The Thing That Should Not Be again, but Archer wiggles out, lands on his feet and quickly hits Whateley with a headbutt to the jaw. Whateley staggers a bit and then smiles, as he appears to pop his dislocated jaw back into place. Archer is shocked. He comes running at Whateley but is met with a headbutt of his own, knocking Archer down. Edgar grabs Sway Archer, puts his head between his legs, lifts him up by the arms and drives him straight down on the canvas.
Kohl: That’s it! The Thing That Should Not Be! It’s over!
Beast: There is no kicking out from that.
Edgar Whateley goes for the cover. 1…2…3!
Kohl: That’s it! Edgar Whateley has beaten Sway Archer!
Beast: What a performance by both these men, but Whateley has done it.
Kidd West’s Hype Segment
We return from commercial to see Kidd West standing in the ring, mic in hand as his instrumental entrance fades away. The fans seem to be curious as what he has to say, remaining in a hushed silence.
“Where do I begin… Where do I begin to discuss what has happened these last few weeks, I guess like all stories we cut to the chase. Owen Hawes and John Styles. I will be facing these two men at Malice in Wonderland, in what I am told will be a stunning match sure to entertain you devoted fans of GCW. Well, it should not have been this way. That rogue bastard John Styles could not wait his turn and decided in a moment of greed to try and claim that which was not his… he spoiled my moment in the limelight all to pursue a championship he has no right in holding.”
The crowd appear to be remaining somewhat silent as West takes a breath.
“I worked my way up to this opportunity, I won the Television Championship. I beat the Anarchy Club with my partner Darius which allowed us to claim the Tag Team Championships for ourselves, I captured the International Championship and then broke the streak of PPV losses that had followed such a prestigious belt, I feel like I am owed my shot more than him and I am sure you will agree with me!”
The fans start to get more vocal, there are some mixed shouts of ‘You Suck’ and ‘You Deserve It!’ emanating from the audience. West smirks and then clears his throat.
“In comparison, John Styles thinks he deserves this because he caught our Main Eventer’s on a bad day, you can claim to have beaten Shio Corin many times but John… Where exactly is Shio Corin now? He certainly ain’t still Main Eventing GCW that’s for sure. John Styles has coasted by here on the shoulders of others. His Tag Team Championship reign was entirely the work of Drew Murdock, a man who has vanished off the earth from what I can tell”
The crowd are beginning to become more vocal and divided.
“I must thank Mr. Alexander for having the decency, nay, the intelligence to keep me in the running for this, though as much that can be said about this. If I lose I will be protesting the decision until I get my fair one on one match like I was promised and unlike John Styles, I won’t be threatening to ruin title matches to get it!”
Shaking his head at the loud chants from some fans to ‘Shut his mouth’, West continues on.
“What I want to know, most of all… is where Owen Hawes has disappeared to. This is my biggest concern, the man is an enigma of charisma and danger. He could have agents watching me backstage for all I know. The Cult of Hawes is real people, and it is not to be trifled with. Not unless you have a plan like me”
West slides out of the ring, grabbing a sledgehammer left at ringside. He kisses the hammerhead and then looks at the cameraman.
“The first step to beating Hawes, is to take out the base of his power!”
West swings at the Cameraman, catching him in the arm and sending him crashing into the ground. Picking up said cameraman, he throws him into the ringsteps creating a loud bang across the ring. Snatching the cameraman up, he throws him over the barricade into the crowd.
“There’s more to come!” shouts West who storms backstage, he reaches the technical area where a man stands in front of the controls for the pyro. West grabs him from behind and throws him to the floor, punching him repeatedly in the face. The technician groans as West lifts him back up and slams him into the control board sending sparks flying from it and the lighting in the arena flickering with strobe.
Standing over the unconscious technician West grins and then grabs the camera, staring at it intensely.
“The worst is yet to happen…”

Kenneth Rodman & Jesse James vs. El Masko & Andrew Jordan
A great tag team match as Jessie James and El Masko provided dominant performances. They traded many blows and had a match that left many on the edge of their seats, There were some key moments such as when Kenneth Rodman powerbombed Andrew Jordan onto the ringsteps, for his efforts Kenneth Rodman was rewarded with a flying forearm from El Masko later on, this sent him flying from the Apron and crashing his head painfully off of the ringside barricade. In the end however, El Masko was not good enough to withstand the effort of Jessie James who hit him with a Six Shooter Superkick which sent him rebounding off the ropes into a deadly West Texas Winds. Jessie James got the three count for him and his partner Ken Rodman

Dan Henderson vs. Brandon Irving
This match was cancelled after both men failed to turn up to the arena. Instead to fill up time we had a vignette of a roar and of a muscled chest and beard. The words ‘Return’ flash across the screen.
El Masko Interview From Earlier In The Day
El Masko sits down across from Lola Sparkle "Hello El Masko this is your first night in GCW and you're already booked to be in a battle royal to decide the number one contender to the Hardcore title. How do you feel about getting such an opportunity straight out of your debut"
El Masko sighs "I have mixed emotions about this because you see the champion is a dragon, more specifically a red dragon. They are not to be toyed with, as they breathe fire and have very rough hides, Worse of all cutting off one head reveals three more. It's quite a challenge but I am confident that like a dragon with many heads, such as our hardcore champion I will be fighting many heads in that battle royal " He says with determination.
There is a silence before the next question "Do you believe that you deserve the number six spot El Masko?" Lola asks leading El masko to nod "Perhaps, I am enthuiastic to just be involved in this match and the final spot would be a pleasure to hold but not nessicary."
"Thank you for the interview El masko" Lola said
"Bueno" he gets up and walks off before walking across the set "The door wasn't that way I apologize miss sparkles"
Red Dragon vs. Mason Childers
We see Mason Childers walking in the parking lot backstage, a small box in the corner says ‘Up Next!’
Kohl: Coming up after these messages from our sponsors… Its Mason Childers vs… Red Dragon?
Red Dragon appears to be in the background with a baseball bat in hand, walking behind the unaware Mason Childers. There is a swift crack as the bat bounces off his back sending Mason Childers to the floor. Snatching him back up, Red Dragon throws him into the door of a nearby car, denting it and popping it open. Sticking Mason’s head against the door, Dragon running kicks the car door sending it crashing into Mason’s head.
The dazed Mason picks himself up and tries to make his way backstage before Dragon can do anymore damage, but Dragon catches up to him, grabbing Mason by the back of the head. Dragon runs Mason Childers face across a wall painfully before tossing him into a nearby garbage can. As Mason tries to crawl away as Dragon smashes a plate from the nearby catering table over his back, shattering it.
Security rushes in and begins to put some distance between Red Dragon and Mason Childers, medics rush over and Nigel Alexander shouts at the camera man to cut the feed quickly. We see security forcing Dragon out of the main doors of the arena as the camera cuts to commercial.
Owen Hawes Promo
The lights go off in Birmingham’s Legacy Arena. O Fortuna’s opening lines blast through the PA system. The Alabama audience begins to boo and jeer when they realize that the World Heavyweight Champion is about to make an appearance. As if on cue, the Nightmare immerges from the back, with a red spotlight following his movements. He makes his way to the ring with his World Heavyweight Title draped on his shoulder. He finally enters the ring and sits down on the ring’s far corner. He is handed a microphone, which he lifts to his mouth to speak.
“Ladies and gentlemen of Birmingham, let me tell you a little story. Long ago, there existed a man. This man was as bad as they come. He roamed the lands, corrupting every town he visits by taking the life of the town’s leader. Ninety-nine towns, all of whom had their leaders killed in cold blood.”
The Nightmare adjusts the championship on his shoulder, and looks around at the audience, absorbing all the antagonizing from the southern crowd.
“When the man reached his hundredth town, he looked for the leader, and was surprised. Unlike the other towns, where the leaders were strong, intelligent or wealthy, this leader was just a young boy. This leader was a child. The man found out that this child determined who goes to heaven, and who goes to hell. The man begged and pleaded to have his sins atoned for and for the child to spare his murderous past to grant him entry into heaven. The child refused. When the man angered, and drew his blade to the child’s throat, the child simply looked at the man. The man felt confused, he has taken ninety-nine lives and never felt remorse, but he had never slain an innocent child. Once he had sheathed his blade, the child told the man that the only way to atone for his sins is to help rebuild all ninety-nine communities you had destroyed.”
Owen Hawes leaves the corner and sits down cross-legged in the middle of the ring.
“So the man began to do good, he tried to change his evil ways to lead a virtuous life. And he succeeded. For forty-nine towns, he had helped rebuild and choose a new leader. When he reached the fiftieth, however, he had found that the town had heard of the man’s impending return, and had an ambush set for when he returned. The man was killed by the community he had destroyed and now wanted to rebuild.”
Owen Hawes leans in, and looks directly at the hard camera.
“His spirit met the child in the afterlife, and asked him if he would be granted entry into heaven. The child told him that he hasn’t even completed half of his atonements. The man once again argued, but the child refused. The man was destined to spend the rest of eternity all alone, in the darkness of purgatory. The man learned that intentions do not mean anything in a world where gods rule. So ladies and gentlemen of Birmingham, you have been warned.”
The lights go out, and as they come on, the Nightmare is gone.
John Styles vs. Darius Seeiso
The match was decent between the two, everything was evenly matched until the final moments when, as the fighting spilled out the ring. Kidd West hit an unaware John Styles across the head with Lady Sasha, the ref not noticing this due to having been knocked unconscious himself. With Styles rolled back into the ring, it was the prime set up for Darius Seeiso to hit him with the running bicycle knee to his already weak head. The three count was simple and easy for Seeiso as West then slid into the ring and raised his hand up high. The Conspiracy stood victorious over their old enemy and West got his revenge for the events of ascension.
