Kidd West vs John Styles
Fink: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following in contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: (ONE FALL!)
Fink: First, making his way down to the ring.
Hero by Skillet starts playing, 10 seconds go by then the lights go out.
Beast: John! John I can’t see my plate now, John.
20-30 seconds pass and they come back on with Styles standing with his arms outstretched and facing the titantron.
Fink: From Los Angeles, California, weighing in at 205 pounds, “The Renewed”, John, Styles!
He spins around and looks all over the arena before slowly making his way down the ramp. When he gets to the ring he looks around again and walks over to the steps, he runs up them and runs into the middle of the apron points with both hands out to the crowd and then runs back to, and climbs up, the turnbuckle. He bows his head so that his hair is covering his face, shakes it and then flicks his hair to the back of his head and quickly points both fingers to the air then jumps down and faces the hard cam and looks around waiting for his opponent.
Kohl: John Styles looks ready tonight. Looking to get some retribution here against one of the men who took those tag team titles from him.
The arena goes dark.
Beast: AGAIN?!
Suddenly a spotlight hits the stage and we see Kidd West, his back turned to everyone wearing a leather jacket. He turns around and slowly walks down the ramp arm raised over his head with his sledgehammer held above him, staring at the crowds beside him.
Fink: And his opponent, from Calgary, Alberta, Canada, weighing in at 225 pounds, he is “The Executioner”, Kidd, West!
Kidd takes a deep breath in and shakes his head. Standing up on the apron of the mat he wraps his arms around the ropes and then leans backwards on them allowing him to roll back over the top rope into the ring. He goes to the centre of the ring and slowly removes his jacket, tossing it to ringside.
Beast: You know what you can get me for Christmas, Kohl?
Kohl: What’s that?
Beast: A lamp, so I can keep it on our table. I’m tired of all these blackouts disturbing my meals.
The bell rings.
Kohl: I’ll keep that in mind as we get underway with this matchup. Kidd West and John Styles have been at each other’s throats for the better part of the last two months.
Beast: Yeah, and we saw how that turned out for Styles. He lost his tag titles, and is stuck with the ‘honor’ of fighting Nigel Alexander at the upcoming End of Days PPV. Quite a step down.
Kidd and John lock up, with John quickly taking a headlock.
Kohl: Don’t be so sure about that Beast, John Styles could make a huge statement by beating Nigel at End of Days.
John snaps Kidd down with a headlock takeover. Kidd works his way up, still in the headlock.
Beast: He’d be beating the man who runs the company. Has he given up on trying to beat active competitors? Is that why he’s going after our esteemed chairman?
Kidd forces John back towards the ropes to break the hold. As the ref separates them, Kidd swings at Styles, who ducks the punch, and cinches in another headlock.
Kohl: Amazing quickness there from John Styles, dodging the cheap shot thrown by Kidd West.
John drops down and rolls Kidd into another headlock takeover. Kidd wraps his legs around John’s head, and pries him off, before locking in a headlock of his own.
Beast: There we go, Kidd West back in control now.
John tries to get out of the headlock, to no avail. He drops back, and rolls Kidd backwards, forcing him to break the hold.
Kohl: A great showing of the craftiness of these two GCW stars here.
As John goes to lock up, Kidd knees him in the gut, followed by a club to the back. Kidd continues to stomp John, before eventually using his foot to force John out of the ring.
Kohl: Kidd West just vicious towards Styles here.
Beast: Good, you do what you have to in order to win a match. Start the count ref!
The ref holds Kidd back, and then starts the count. John rolls in shortly after 4, and is met by boots from Kidd once again.
Kohl: Kidd West repeating this sadistic cycle of stomping John, then going for a pin, to no avail by the looks of things.
Kidd, growing frustrated, lifts John to his feet, and puts lifts him up in an argentine position.
Kohl: Kidd looking for the ‘Judge and Jury’ here!
Beast: Game over for John Styles!
John wriggles out of the move, and hits Kidd with a sharp half nelson suplex.
Kohl: Suplex by Styles, dropping Kidd on his head, and now both men are down.
Beast: The ref counting both of ‘em here, who’s up first?
As the ref’s count nears 7, both men are at opposite corners, nearly at their feet. Kidd stomps over to John, and lands a hard European uppercut.
Kohl: Kidd West setting up for something here!
Kidd runs to the opposite corner, and charges at John, who catches Kidd with a boot to the jaw. John then shimmies up onto the middle rope, and hits a missile dropkick.
Kohl: John Styles making a comeback!
Beast: Kidd West has barely taken any hits, he’ll be fine!
John moves gingerly over to Kidd West, and kicks out his knee.
Kohl: West down to a knee now!
John hooks Kidd’s head, and plants him with a snap DDT.
Kohl: Kidd West is down, and John is going to the top rope! Looking for the Styles Stomp!
As John jumps off the top rope, Kidd rolls out of the way. John lands, but tweaks his knee in the process, allowing Kidd to nail a chop block.
Beast: Kidd West is so clever, look at him! He’s got this match in the bag!
Kidd lifts up John, and sets him up for the ‘Final Verdict’. John goes to counter with a back body drop, but Kidd lands on his feet, and mule kicks the back of John’s leg.
Kohl: John really starting to favour that leg now.
Kidd turns to John and quickly lifts him up, and slams him down the ‘Judge and Jury’.
Beast: That’s it!
Kidd crawls into the cover and the ref counts three.
Fink: Your winner, Kidd, West!
Kohl: John Styles just couldn’t overcome Kidd West and that deadly ‘Judge and Jury’.
Beast: See, this is why John decided to face Nigel at End of Days. He’s past his prime!
Kidd rolls out of the ring, snatching his sledgehammer and jacket from the time-keepers booth, before storming up the ramp.
