Firstly, welcome! Thanks for joining this little internet federation where we pretend to be grown men in tights grappling for belts. So, if you have no idea what this is, GCW is an e-fed. A word that originally meant email federation, as it originated in collaborating through emails. Now we are a play-by-post fantasy wrestling roleplaying game where players take on the roles of professional wrestlers and compete in matches to win feuds, tournaments, and of course, championships.
In-story, Global Championship Wrestling takes place in an alternate reality where WWE is not the biggest company in the world, territorial wrestling went on for a lot longer, and we are among the first modern day promotions to really expand globally. For some reason we also have a satellite called the GCWStation that broadcasts our content to homes around the world. Don't ask us to explain that one, because wrestling isn't real. GCW is based out of the tri-state area and it's headquarters are located in New York. Our owner is Nigel Alexander, a mid-40s man with an obvious knack for professional wrestling yet a controversial side like any other major public figure. Below we will discuss how to join our little e-federation.

You can find our application here.
The app takes you through exactly what you need to fill out to be registered as a character here. Before joining, please read the official rules of GCW.
The app takes you through exactly what you need to fill out to be registered as a character here. Before joining, please read the official rules of GCW.
Now once your app is filled out a staff member will review it and if there are any issues they will contact you. Once approved, your character will be moved to the Wrestler Profiles section. If you no show more than once your profile will be moved to the Alumni section and you risk your picture base being taken by a new member.
Once you are a member of the roster you will be contacted by a staff member and invited into our Discord channel if you so wish to be. It's not a requirement to join our Discord channel but it helps us get to know our members and connect with the community. After a staff member gets in contact with you, your debut will be discussed.
Who are the staff members?
In GCW we call them, "Creative".
Shio Corin is the main admin of GCW and Head of Creative.
Aaron Black is the board admin and Head of Graphics.
Kidd West is a booker, match writer, and creative consultant.
Every member of creative is involved in storyline building, match planning and writing and are able to assist anyone in need of it.
Then there is Siuol Corin. He is our judge of competitive matches and you can read his statement on the whole thing here.
Now, things to know.
There are 2 kinds of match styles in GCW:
Creative and Competitive.
Creative matches are pre-determined, angle-based matches where the winner is determined based on what works best for a feud or storyline moving forward and is always discussed in length with the individuals involved.
Competitive matches are where the individuals involved will compete against one another to win. The winner is based on the roleplays and determined by Siuol Corin, our judge, and his criteria on matches. You can read all about him in the link above. Title matches are always competitive. Big PPV blow off matches are typically competitive unless the competitors request otherwise.
On that note, if two individuals would like to be in a competitive match, they can absolutely always ask us to book them that way.
Now, we have one weekly show and one monthly PPV. Vindication is on Wednesdays which means roleplays are due on Tuesdays at 9 AM EST. PPVs are always the last Wednesday of the month and will replace Vindication for that week.

Championships:
World Heavyweight Championship
The crowning achievement of any member of the GCW roster. The WHC is the highest and most prestigious championship in the company. The holder represents the GCW brand and is considered the top star in the world of wrestling.
International Championship
This upper mid-card title is special in that it holds an extra value to it.
The holder, given that they have defended the title at least once, can cash in the right for a world championship match on the show following the night they evoke their championship right. When the cash in is announced, the title will immediately be vacated and the title match will made on the next show.
Hardcore Championship
The ultimate achievement for anyone that prefers to bash their opponents head in with lead pipes and steel chairs over a classic grappling fest. The hardcore championship can only be defended in hardcore, no disqualification, or death matches.
World Tag Team Championships
The coveted prize for the best tag team wrestlers in GCW. Every year in July the Eckert and Haggerty Tag Team Memorial Tournament is held to honor tag teams of the past where the winners receive not only a trophy but a tag team title shot.
There are, of course, other achievements in GCW as well. Things like the Macabre Chamber, End of Days match, and the "One" tournament are all explained here.
We welcome you to GCW and hope you decide to join us and have some fun taking on the role of a pro wrestler in the safest way possible.
