HARDCORE #1 CONTENDERS MATCH
Fink: Ladies and gentlemen, the following contest is a number 1 contender triple threat match for the Hardcore Championship. Introducing first, from Austin, Texas, weighing in at 261 pounds, the Redneck wrestling machine, Jesse James!
*Sorry about your damn luck echoes throughout the arena as “longnecks & rednecks” begins to play. A blast of fireworks erupt from the ramp and smoke fills the entrance. As it begins to clear, Jesse James can be seen amongst the remains of the smoke. Instead of having a beer in his hand, Jesse is focusing on the ring, cracking his neck and shoving away the fans hands as he
makes his way to the ring. Once at the ring, he raises in arm in the corner, triggering a chorus of boos*
Fink: Next, from Providence, Road Island, weighing in at 180 pounds, Ken Rodman!
*The crowd are confused when an unfamiliar song begins to play, it is definitely not Ken’s theme “Mama said knock you.” And then…the piano begins to play. “Sweet Victory” by Bob Kulick begins to play! Strobe lights fill the entrance as Ken Rodman appears, holding the Prestigious Title on his shoulder! Ken nods his head with the song with a grin on his face as he makes his way to the ring. He jumps onto the apron and leans back on the rope admiring the crowd as they boo him. He enters the ring and stands in the centre and, as the song starts the chorus, he holds the prestigious title over his head*
Fink: And finally, from El Paso, Texas, weighing in at 180 pounds, El Maskooooo!
*Ants marching blasts into the arena as the crowd cheer Masko onto the stage. With him, he is holding a large banner. On said banner is his Mask on a black background with the phrase, “For honour. For Lucha. Yes” on the bottom. Masko repeats this phrase as he makes his way down and ramp and into the ring. As he makes the centre of the ring, he slams the banner on the floor and stands proudly with his hand on his hip as the crowd cheer. He stands there for a good 30 seconds after his song ends before staff members urge him to hand over the banner, which he rather reluctantly does*
*With all 3 men ready, the match begins*
Kohl: Here we are Beast with the very first match on the Extravaganza main show! These three men earned their way into this match after a 3-way tie in the previous number 1 contenders match but this time, there must be a guaranteed winner? Who will it be, we will have to wait and see.
*With the intensity of the fans already high, the match begins very quickly as all three competitors rush the centre of the ring and begin throwing punches all over the place. As the strikes die down, Ken runs to the ropes and rebounds with a heart pierce to Jesse who falls back. With this back turned, Masko attacks Ken with a Tricky Line sending him to the floor. Masko raises his hands to the crowd, beginning cheers before Jesse rushes over and levels Masko with a cloesthline, causing Makso to flip around*
Beast: Welp, Masko is officially dead. That was a good run!
*Jesse goes for the pin…1…2…Masko kicks out! Frustrated, Jesse begins striking with vicious punches before lifting Masko up for a snap suplex into a standing moonsault. But just before Jesse goes for another pin, Ken connects with a steel chair into his back, causing Jesse to roll out the ring in pain*
Kohl: Well, I don’t agree with it, but it is no disqualification.
*Ken, thinking that Masko is easy pickings, lifts him up ready for a back suplex. However, Masko flips out and connects with a string of forearms to Ken’s face, backing him up to the ropes. He Irish whips him but follows him so he can cloesthline Ken over the top rope. The crowd are starting to cheer as Masko jumps up and down pointing at Ken and Jesse on the outside. Masko runs to the ropes and jumps over the top rope, flipping into a sunset flip! *
Kohl: El Masko pulling out all the stops in order to win this match. And the crowd are electric!
Beast: Why? This Masko guy is an idiot! Just look at him.
*Masko has now grabbed his banner beside him and jumped onto the crowd barrier chanting the phrase on his banner as the crowd joins in. Suddenly, Ken grabs El Masko’s ankle before swiping his legs from underneath him, sending Masko back first into the top of the barrier. Ken grabs the banner and looks at it. He grins and shows it to the crowd…before ripping it in two, resulting in a collective gasp and boos from the crowd. Ken throws the banner to the ground and throws Masko into the ring. He then proceeds to lock in a crossface wrenching at Masko’s face as the pain sinks in*
Beast: We’ve seen him finish off many people with that move. And I bet you he will do it again.
Kohl: It seems like it Beast. Just look at the pain in El Masko’s face.
Beast: I can’t! It’s covered by that stupid mask.
*Masko struggles to try and reach for the ropes but he is too far away. The crowd try to cheer him to help him get out but he seems to have his hand up ready to tap…But Jesse breaks up the hold! Masko grabs his face and rolls to the side, leaving Jesse with Ken. Jesse lifts up Ken and throws him into a corner before running in at connecting with a vicious punch. He lifts Ken onto the top of the turnbuckle and follow him up there, setting up for superplex*
Kohl: Oh boy, this could end terribly for either man…Wait, look, it’s El Masko! He’s grabbing Jesse’s legs, this is going to be painful…SUPERPLEX POWERBOMB! What a move!
*The crowd go ballistic as Masko slumps into the corner, shattered. No one moves initially but the crowd notices El Masko nodding his head while shaking his fist. He rises to his feet just as he sees Jesse doing the same. El Masko is super hyped as he rushes to Jesse….and connects with the Mask of Infamy! *
Kohl: There it is! The Mask of Infamy. El Masko has hit it, he just has to go for the…Wait a second! Ken with a low blow! He’s throwing EL Masko out of the ring. He can’t win like this…1…2…3! Ken is the number one contender.
Beast: YES! I always believed in him. Ken has won on the grandest stage and now he has a shot at the hardcore championship.
Kohl: But what a screwy way to win, by letting EL Masko do all the work beforehand before throwing him to the side.
*Ken stands in the ring with his prestigious title and he lifts it high in victory as the crowd continues to boo. Suddenly, Nigel appears on the stage with a microphone*
Nigel: Cut the damn music! Answer, Ken, whoever you are! I am sick and tired of your shenanigans. You did not deserve to win that match after El Masko put on such a great performance. We want people who show their worth to fight for championship, not people who have to ride the coattail of others to get what they want. So for that, I am officially stripping you of your championship opportunity and giving it…to El Masko!
*The crowd pop from the announcement as Ken looks shocked and frustrated all at once*
Nigel: Oh, and that’s not all. We’ve put up with so much shit from you. Any other promotion would have fire your ass by now.
*The crowd erupt as they sense what the second announcement is. Ken also senses it and begins to plead and beg with Nigel*
Nigel: We don’t see any reason to keep you around Ken. You bring nothing to GCW other than stupidity. What I’m trying to say is…Kenneth Rodman….YOU’RE FIRED!
Ken stands in the ring, both a look of shock and anger in his face. Resisting the temptation to go out and attack Nigel. Ken just begins to slowly, ritualistically remove his ring gear. He places his boots, his knee and elbow pads in a pile. And tucks the Prestigious Championship on top.
Kohl: Darn, this is sad to watch…
Suddenly, Ken Rodman gets carried away with removing his gear. He starts to properly strip his clothes off. Security rush down, around 6 or 7 guys who forcibly grab Rodman and try haul him out while he kicks and tries to throw them off.
Kohl: Oh god… the FCC violation… quick cut to a replay!
The replay shows the gross violence of the chairshot to the back. The cracking of the metal ringing throughout the arena as the chair contorts around his back.
Kohl: Much better!
Beast: Damn American TV, can’t show breasts but ultraviolence is okay?!
Ken Rodman is dragged shouting backstage as a ringcrew rushes down to repair the ringside area. One of them scoops Ken’s gear into a Garbage Can and begins to make his way back up the ramp.
HARDCORE TITLE MATCH - LADDER
began blasting throughout the arena signaling the start of the match that was sure to be a blood bath. Mason Childers did his entrance as normal and grabbed a chair and waited in his corner never breaking eye conctact with the ramp. plays signaling the entrance of the champion, sans belt which is hanging above the ring.
As soon as Red Dragon gets into the ring the bell rings and, it devolves into a brawl. The larger Mason crushing Red Dragon into a corner with a splash. No fancy moves used in this match only a pure brawl. Red Dragon manages to get a hold of the femur and jam it into the head of Mason. Dragon takes control of the match grounding the larger man with chair shot after chair shot most notable of which a chair shot to the head causing Mason to bleed heavily.
Mason saves the match and possibly his career at the best possible moment as he powered out of a chair assisted soul shredder. Forcing the fight to go out of the ring. Mason slams the head of Red Dragon onto a table getting the champion to bleed. Childers whips the champion into the steel steps and brings a ladder into the ring and attempts to climb. His ascent slowed by the beat down, Red Dragon sprints up the ladder, and spits red mist into mason's eyes sending him crashing down onto the mat. Red dragon reaches for the belt, and stops seeing that Mason is still moving. He gets off of the ladder, and rolls Mason out of the ring.
Setting the barely concious Mason up onto the unbroken table, he sets the ladder up in the ring, and a Nail in the coffin attempt fails due to Mason having the sense of mind to roll of the table sending Red Dragon through the table instead. Mason and Dragon are on a race to get to their feet, and Mason gets up first. Upon seeing that Red Dragon is close to getting up, the challenger gets in position and hits a Moose Charge on Red Dragon crushing him into the steps. In pain Mason gets into the ring and resets the ladder, Red Dragon has not moved, since the charge. Mason grabs the belt to become new Hardcore Champion.
Kohl: MY WE HAVE A NEW CHAMPION! Mason Childers has unseated Red Dragon from his Hardcore Throne!
Beast: Congrats to the seasoned wrestler, it’s been a long time coming this one!
US Title Match – Cage
The lights dim as "Change (In The House of Flies)" by Deftones begin to play over the speakers. Travis Gray steps out from behind the curtain wearing white, red, and black facepaint. He slowly walks to the ring as he looks at the crowd scaring the children before sliding in the ring. He crawls to his corner and awaits his opponent. "Change (In The House of Flies)" fading away.
The arena goes dark, almost nothing visible, when the titantron then lights up, showing a picture of the US flag. A voiceover is then heard throughout the arena: “Ever since 1776 the United States of America has been free from control by any country, and, according to the Smithsonian Museum, became a democratic country in 1796. Since then, there have been 15 major wars America has taken part in, 2 depressions, and countless amounts of deaths. Today, however, will mark a new day in history. Today, on April 30th, 2017, the US no longer is a democracy, rather it is a kingdom, it has become the United States of Cade.” The flag on the titantron proceeds to burn up, and is replaced with an image of a spade colored with red, white, and blue stripes. The voiceover returns again: “Travis Gray… Simon Cade is coming, run.” An instrumental version of “Playing the Saint” by Digital Summer blasts throughout the arena, and the lights come back on. There’s bodies and guns lying all throughout the top of the entrance ramp, with one particularly large stack of bodies right in the middle. Out steps Simon Cade, US title around his waist. He climbs on top of the stack of bodies in the middle, and grabs a shotgun next to him. He proceeds to shoot it, and the shot causes a chain reaction of fireworks being launched, erupting in the sky in a multitude of colors, but with red, white, and blue being the most prominent colors.
Beast: Man, whatever excitement I had for this match has been eradicated…
Kohl: Well… that… happened?
Beast: If it’s a Kingdom wouldn’t it be the United Kingdom of America?
Kohl: Lets… not remind ourselves of that…
We see Travis Gray just look at the camera as Simon Cade makes his way to the ring, he just looks at the camera and gives it a face that just says “This fucking guy….”
As a mere formality the referee holds up the belt and rings the bell when the two are in their corners. The bell rings and the two lock up trying to estrablish dominance. First Simon gets a quick boot to the stomach and tries to throw Travis into the cage this is blocked and met with a headbutt for his troubles. The stunned Simon is met with a DDT in his stunned haze, after stomps and punches to the head it's clear what Travis' mission is tonight. Dragging the limp Simon to his feet he rakes Simon's face against the cage's mesh, but still no blood.
An irish whip is turned into a swinging neckbreaker giving Simon time to recover from that assault to the head. He manages to take advantage of Travis' mistep, however working on the man's knee. He tried going for the exit but saw the challenger getting to his feet, he reluctantly got back inside to finish what he started.
The two met in the middle and began swinging Travis going high for headshots, while Simon is going for bodyshots. Simon manages to get a good handle on Travis and shoves him off into the corner. Travis in return throws the turnbuckle padding in Cade's face who charges, and eats the steel of the middle turnbuckle thanks to a drop toe hold, busting him wide open. Cade seems knocked out to Gray's delight who begins climbing out of the cage.
Just as Gray seems home free his ankle is gripped tight by Cade who seems to be moving on instinct, his face covered by a crimson mask. Trying to push the champion off proved to be a futile effort, so Gray climbed back in trying to kick Simon off. One kick proved disasterous as Cade pulled Travis off the balancing act of the ropes, and followed up with a chop block forcing the knee into the cage. Simon pulled the downed Travis into the middle of the ring and lached on the Ace of Cades. Travis clawed for the ropes but he had to tap out eventually.
INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP
Fink: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following contest is for the GCW, International Championship!
The lights go completely black and smoke fills the stage - a green spotlight follows Edgar Whateley down to the ring as he carries his large, leatherbound, ancient looking book wrapped in black felt - with strange golden symbols imprinted on it. He sits in the ring crosslegged and removes the book, studies a few passages, and as the main, higher pitched synth line of the music starts, the lights fade up to a green glow, and then continue to fade to the regular house lights. He places the book back in its cover and removes his overcoat, now ready to fight.
Kohl: Edgar going double or nothing here, putting his sacred book on the line against Darius' International Title.
As 'Murmaider' blares through the arena, the lights fade low, and the audience is plunged into darkness. A white fog engulfs the stage, and deep blue spotlights scan through it. As the guitar starts, you begin to see Darius slowly rise from below the stage, Maricia standing beside him. He holds the International Championship in one hand, and the tag team title in the other. He saunters down to the ring, his head bowed, bobbing slightly to the guitar. Darius raises the titles as he approaches the ring, and the lights fade up. His pale grey scan the arena, and he laughs to himself. He kisses Maricia, and rolls into the ring, raising the titles to the audience, before retreating to his corner, and kneeling.
Beast: Darius Seeiso, maybe one of the most cunning strategists in GCW history. He can relentlessly dismantle an opponent with ease, and he loves to take trophies from his victories. Tonight, he's looking to secure Edgar's book as a trophy.
Kohl: That's correct Beast, but Edgar Whateley is not to be underestimated. He is one of the toughest men in the history of this business, and his forearms can damn near knock your head off. One slip up could cost you the match against this man.
Fink walks to the centre of the ring, and lifts the microphone, silencing the audience.
Fink: The following contest, is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: ONE FALL!
Fink: And is for, the GCW International Championship! However, if Edgar loses the match, he must hand over his book. Introducing first, the challenger, from the Mountains of Madness, weighing in at 225 pounds, Edgar, Whateley!
Edgar pats his book, and then hands it off to a ringside assistant.
Fink: And his opponent, from Maseru, Lesotho, weighing in at 265lbs., he is one half, of the GCW Tag Team Champions, and your current GCW International Champion, Darius Seeiso!
Darius raises both championships, before handing off the Tag Team Championship to Maricia, and the International Championship to the ref. The ref hoists the championship in the air, hands it off to a ringside assistant, and calls for the bell.
Darius struts towards Edgar, and extends his hand. Edgar chuckles and puts his hands on his hips.
Kohl: Darius trying to show some comradery here!
Beast: This is all a ploy Kohl, Edgar won't fall for this!
Edgar goes to shake Darius' hand, but fakes him out, and goes for a slap instead. Darius ducks the slap and applies a headlock. Edgar steps on the back of Darius' knee, breaking the headlock, and transitioning to a wrist lock. Darius rolls forward out of the wrist lock, kips up, and reverses into a wrist lock of his own. He cranks Edgar's arm behind his back with a hammerlock.
Kohl: Some textbook grappling here from these two!
Edgar spins out of the hammerlock, and grabs Darius with a rear waistlock.
Kohl: Edgar pushing Darius towards the ropes. O'Connor roll attempt from Edgar but Darius holds on.
As Edgar rolls up to his feet, Darius charges at Edgar and hits a basement dropkick, dropping Edgar onto his face. Darius springs to his feet and goes for an axe kick, but Edgar rolls out of the way. Edgar pops up to his feet, and turns around to Darius, who is standing with his hand extended once again. The crowd bursts into applause.
Kohl: Darius trying for that handshake one more after a brilliant exchange between the two!
Edgar nods and shakes Darius' hand.
Beast: Maybe it wasn't a trap after all!
Edgar releases Darius' hand, and goes to lock up. Darius ducks under the lock up, and cracks Edgar with a superkick. Edgar bails out of the ring, and Darius takes the opportunity the gloat on the top rope.
Beast: I spoke too soon...
Edgar holds the back of his head on the outside, temporarily stunned. He begins to show serious frustration, working himself into a rage, before turning back towards Darius, and rolling into the ring. Darius throws a punch, but Edgar ducks it, catches the arm, and hits a snap dragon suplex.
Kohl: Edgar is furious! He nearly just broke Darius' neck!
Darius staggers, trying to make it to his feet, but Edgar sprints off the ropes, and rebounds with a running knee to the side of Darius' head. Darius, in a desperate effort, rolls out of the ring. Edgar rolls out after him, and begins to chase him around ringside. Darius slides into the ring, and Edgar rolls in after him. Edgar stumbles as he gets to his feet, and Darius hits an axe kick to the back of Edgar's neck.
Beast: There's that axe kick Darius was looking for earlier, and boy did it do some damage!
Darius snatches Edgar to his feet, and hits him with a rope hung suplex. He stabilizes Edgar, keeping him hung over the top rope, before walking over to the turnbuckle
Kohl: Darius might be setting up for that knee-guillotine type maneuver!
Darius climbs to the top rope, and hits a knee drop to the back of Edgar's neck.
Beast: All this damage to Edgar's neck, I don't know how he's going to manage!
Edgar staggers to his feet, and Darius saunters over to him. As Darius goes to pick him up, Edgar shoots up with a headbutt to Darius' chest.
Kohl: Edgar rallying back here!
Edgar hits another headbutt, and goes for a forearm, but Darius ducks it, and hits a jumping neck breaker.
Beast: Cut short, that comeback. Darius is just gonna keep targeting that neck!
Darius rolls over for the pin attempt, but only gets a one count. Edgar kicks out and Darius quickly snatches a rear chinlock.
Kohl: Darius sticking to his strategy, stretching Edgar's neck over the knee.
As the crowd begins to swell, Edgar works up to his feet, and hits an elbow to Darius' stomach.
Beast: Edgar rallying back!
Edgar throws Darius over with a snapmare, and as Darius springs to his feet, Edgar cracks him with a forearm.
Kohl: That may be a knockout! Darius is down!
Edgar dives onto Darius for the pin, but only gets a two count.
Beast: Edgar signalling the end here!
Edgar picks Darius up, and sets him up for "The Thing That Should Not Be". He gets Darius up in the crucifix, but he loses his grip, and Darius slips out. Edgar charges at Darius, but Darius ducks his head out of the ropes, leading to the referee stepping between them.
Kohl: Come on Darius, don't coward out now!
Darius in a moment of panic, grabs the ref, and hurls him at Edgar.
Beast: Darius just literally threw a referee!
As the ref works his way to his feet, Maricia runs over and hands Darius the title through the ropes. The ref shakes his head and calls for the bell, before walking over to talk to Howard Finkel.
Kohl: Did-- did Darius just get disqualified?!
Darius and Edgar both stand in shock as they realize what's happened. A sick grin crosses Darius' face, as he looks down to the title. He charges Edgar, and swings the title at his head. Edgar ducks, and clocks Darius with a wicked forearm.
Kohl: Darius just tried to sneak attack Edgar!
Darius drops the belt as he's hit, and quickly rolls out of the ring. He starts scurrying up the entrance ramp as Maricia tends to him.
Beast: Darius running from the ring, but he's still the champion!
Fink: Ladies and Gentlemen, Darius Seeiso has been disqualified!
The crowd erupts into a mixed reaction of cheers and boos.
Fink: Therefore, the winner of this match, Edgar Whateley!
The crowd reaction remains mixed. The ref walks over and says a few words to Fink.
Fink: However, as per GCW rules, the title can not change hands on a countout or disqualification. Therefore, your GCW International Champion, is still, Darius Seeiso!
The crowd erupts into boos as Darius backpeddles slowly up the ramp.
Beast: Darius stole this one! He's still Champion!
Kohl: Yes, but he doesn't get the book!
Edgar throws a fit in the ring, but quickly composes himself, and points to Darius on the entrance ramp. Darius freezes in his tracks, and raises his arm in victory. Edgar nods, and rolls out of the ring. He snatches the book from the time keepers area, and rolls back into the ring. He produces a lighter.
Kohl: Oh my god, Edgar is gonna burn the book!
Edgar sets fire to a corner of the book, and throws it at the entrance ramp, leaving it to burn in front of Darius. Darius runs down to save the book, but Edgar rolls out of the ring, and beckons for Darius to come get it. Darius halts, and shakes his head.
Beast: I guess if Edgar couldn't have the title, he wanted to be damn sure Darius couldn't have the book!
Darius shakes his head, and walks to the back. Edgar hops off the stage, and exits through the crowd, leaving the book burning on the stage. The ringside attendants quickly extinguish the now heaping pile of ash, and the referee collects the title from the middle of the ring.
GCW CHAMPIONSHIP MATCH – NO DQ
Devastate hits the speakers as John Styles steps out in a long trenchcoat with the words ‘Renewed’ emblazoned on the back of the jacket. He marches down the ramp, glancing at the audience but remaining focused on the ring, sliding in and pounding his fist off his chest as the crowd let out a little cheer. The lights suddenly die before Fink can even do his announcement.
The sound of a heartbeat pulsates through the arena, Red lights forming a wave around the arena with each beat. Suddenly ‘O Fortuna’ blasts as all the red lights center on the stage and the heart beat suddenly stops. Owen Hawes steps out with the GCW Heavyweight Championship in hand, raising it above his head as he walks to the ring, red lights trailing him. Each panel of the ramp lights up red with each step he makes, leaving a trail of bloodlike lights. He slides into the ring and hands the ref his GCW Heavyweight Championship.
Kohl: The man of fear himself Owen Hawes… John Styles needs a game plan to beat him tonight…
Beast: There is nought but evil in those eyes…
The bell rings. Owen Hawes rushes forward and instantly begins to pummel John Styles with several painful elbows. Styles, unprepared, drops to one knee as repetitive strikes knock him down. Hawes keeps pummelling him into the ground. Picking him up now… belly-to-belly suplex! Styles is sent flying out of the ring with that one! Hawes follows on close behind, sliding out. Styles slowly climbs up and in panic, uppercuts Hawes who does not flinch but instead smacks Styles head first into the nearby ringsteps.
Kohl: Hawes with an unrelenting beatdown here!
Beast: He’s getting the tables, this could be all over too soon!
Hawes slides a table into the ring and begins to set it near the centre of the ring. Styles slides in slowly and hits Hawes in the back with several elbow blows. Hawes jumps backwards, slamming Styles into the corner, buying Hawes enough time to turn around and pummel him with repeated knife edge chops. Hauling Styles to the top rope. Hawes begins to prop up for the Superplex, pointing to the sky and then to the table. He lets out a roar and hits the Suplex, crashing both him and Styles into the table.
Suddenly the lights go out as a hushed voice speaks over. “The Conspiracy… is here”
Out Of The Black by Royal Blood hits the speakers as Kidd West and Sway Archer storm down to ringside, Darius Seeiso makes his way down with Maricia at his side. West thrusts the International Title into the hands of the ref and shouts at him to add Darius to the match or else be fired. Reluctantly the ref nods and Fink announces.
Fink: Darius Seeiso… has cashed in his International Championship… This match is now a triple threat…
West and Archer quickly rush in and attack Owen Hawes dragging him out of the ring as Darius slides in to finish off Styles, picking him up, he hits Styles with an uppercut and then hits a crushing Night Driver onto Styles
