Kohl: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to GCW's First Vindication of the new year live from Portland Oregon! I'm Terry Kohl alongside my partner Beast, we've got some great matches coming up today don't we Beast?
Beast: Hell Yeah we do! Not only do we have an epic fatal 4 way contest involving our new champion Owen, we have the first round of the West Coast Classic Tournament where we will have a new US champion! Who's your money on Kohl?
Kohl: Um, i'm not sure. I'd rather not pick a favourite.
Beast: Well my pick is the ever popular Zachary Hayden!
Kohl: Beast, Zachary isn't in the tournament.
Beast: WHAT? Well then i don't have a favourite for the tournament.
Kohl: *sigh* let's just get to the first match of the West Coast Classic, Rumble Winner Darius Seeiso Versus Titanic. Oh and we will have special guest Sway Archer with us on commentary.
Beast: Aw do we have to have Sway?
Kohl: Yes Kohl, yes we do.
WWC ROUND 1 Heat A: Darius Seeiso Vs Titanic
Despite the height and Weight Advantage, Darius kept his composure as he kept the match momentum in his favour. It took 2 Royal Fury's to get the big man to the ground, but they were enough to give Darius the Win and a place in the Semi-Final.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kohl: A great showing from the rumble winner Darius as he advances to the next round.
Beast: Isn't this very greedy of him? I mean, he already has his title match against Hawes so why should he go for the Us Championship?
Kohl: Actually Beast, Darius didn't want anything to do with the tournament but he was persuaded by Clint to compete.
Beast: Fine then, so what have we got on the card next?
Kohl: Well partner we have got the culmination of a mini rivalry as Gamga Block takes on King Ropati in what is sure to be an exciting encounter.
Gamga Block Vs King Ropati
This match was actually fairly short with Gamga using his immense power to keep the high-flying Ropati at bay. It wasn't long before a Galaxy stopper brought an end to the match in a decisive fashion.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kohl: Well that was a very one sided affair. Ropati must have been having an off day.
Beast: That's not it. He simply couldn't handle the destructive power of Gamgaaaaaaaaa!
Kohl: Could you please not shout? I'm right next to you.
Beast: Oh stop complaining and announce the next match dammit.
Kohl: Fine. Up next is heat B of our West Coast Classic which features rising star Sway Archer taking on the veteran Raiden Sparks and looking at the stats these two are very balanced so this could go either way.
Beast: For once i actually agree with you. But it's just nice to see a familiar face back in Raiden.
Kohl: It is isn't it. Anyway, onto the match.

Fink: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following in contest is scheduled for one fall!
Crowd: (ONE FALL!)

Fink: Introducing first, from Chicago, Illinois, Sway, Archer!
Sway points to the stage, then points to the sky. He kisses his fist, and starts down the ramp. When he gets to the ring, he rolls in, points to the sky, and sparks rain down from above. He jumps onto the top turnbuckle, and raises his fist.
Kohl: Sway Archer, ready for round one of the West Coast Classic here!
Beast: Yeah, after being all pissy at ringside earlier, the kid has finally put on his big boy tights and decided to compete!
Kohl: Now now, Beast, the things you said were a bit out of line—
Beast: Out of line? I’ll tell you what’s out of line: this kid thinking he deserves anything, with a 1-2 record! I hope Raiden Sparks makes quick work of this punk.
Kohl: We’ll see that match, Sparks vs Archer, next!
*COMMERCIAL BREAK*
The camera cuts back from commercial and Raiden is lounging on the top rope, Centrefold playing in the background. He hops down from the top rope, and the bell rings.
Kohl: Underway here with round 2 of the West Coast Classic! The winner of this match will go on to face Darius Seeiso, who won earlier tonight.
Beast: May god help whoever has to face that man!
Raiden goes for a collar and elbow tie up, but Sway ducks it and grabs a rear waistlock. Raiden tries to get out, but fails, and instead grabs the ropes.
Kohl: Sway being forced to break the hold here, letting Raiden turn around.
Raiden goes for a back elbow, but Sway ducks it, and locks in a headlock.
Beast: Sway knows he can’t take a hit, that’s why he’s dodging everything!
Raiden backs Sway up to the ropes, and pushes him off.
Kohl: Raiden with the drop down, leapfrog, goes for a dropkick – but Sway catches his feet! He flips over into a pin!
Raiden kicks out at one, and Sway rolls to a corner, causing a break in the match. The crowd applauds the fast paced action. The two lock up, and this time Raiden grabs the headlock.
Beast: Who decided to let Sway have this match anyway? Surely somebody else could have done much better!
Sway backs Raiden up to the ropes, but doesn’t push him off. He pins Raiden to the ropes and tries to force the clean break.
Kohl: Sway, playing cleanly to the rules here.
As the ref goes to back Sway up, Raiden throws a stiff punch to the throat. Sway staggers back, and as the ref gets out of the way, Raiden clocks Sway with a devastating clothesline.
Beast: What a clothesline by Raiden! Lights out for Sway!
Kohl: Raiden with the cover – One, kick-out at one and a half!
Raiden smoothly grabs a rear chinlock, then starts elbowing Sway.
Beast: Those elbows targeting the traps of Sway, weakening up that neck.
Kohl: As we know, a weak neck makes it easier to knock somebody out. Raiden may be looking to end the match with that superkick.
Raiden reapplies the chinlock, but Sway starts working up to his feet. As soon as Sway gets to his feet, Raiden turns, and snaps him down with a neckbreaker. He goes for the cover, only to land a 2 count.
Beast: See, Kohl? Sway has heart, but Raiden is a veteran here. The so called “rising star” doesn’t have a chance.
Raiden picks Sway up, and lifts his head high. He lands a hard chop across the chest of Sway.
Kohl: Raiden with a vicious chop! Sway’s gonna have bruises from that!
Beast: They’ll serve as reminders for Sway to stay in his damn lane!
Raiden grabs a headlock, and drops to a knee. Sway tries to work up, hitting an elbow to Raiden’s stomach.
Kohl: Sway rallying back here!
Sway hits another elbow, breaking the hold. As he tries to run away, Raiden grabs a handful of hair, and quickly snaps Sway down with a neckbreaker.
Beast: Another neckbreaker from Raiden! Sway isn’t gonna last too long at this rate!
Raiden goes for a pin, and get’s another two count. Growing frustrated, he lifts Sway up, and cinches in a front facelock.
Kohl: Raiden going for another neckbreaker here!
Raiden makes the turn for the neckbreaker, and does the little Rick Rude, hip sway taunt. Sway slips out and hooks Raiden with a backslide.
Kohl: Sway with the quick pin here! Backslide! Only a two count though!
Raiden gets up, and goes for a clothesline, which Sway ducks. Sway runs at the ropes, and comes back with a meteora.
Kohl: Double knees there by Sway! He’s getting excited here!
Beast: Go ahead kid, get excited! You’ll make a mistake!
Sway is getting fired up, and as Raiden rises to his feet. Sway hits a combination of chops, and kicks, until Raiden is backed up to the ropes. Sway whips Raiden across the ring, and fakes a kick, but Raiden holds on.
Beast: Not gonna fool him that easy Sway!
Sway sprints at Raiden, and baseball slides between his legs, and out of the ring, tripping Raiden as he goes. Raiden faceplants on the mat with a hard thud.
Kohl: Innovative move here by Sway Archer!
Sway quickly climbs onto the apron, and hits a springboard elbow drop, nailing Raiden right in the back of the neck.
Beast: Look at how reckless Sway is! He could have broken Raiden’s neck!
Sway kneels in the corner, his hands clasped, as Raiden struggles to get up, favouring his neck. As Raiden makes it to his feet, and turns to face Sway, Sway runs at him, and snatches the dragon sleeper.
Kohl: Dragon Sleeper! Sway calls this the Fade!
Beast: Come on Raiden, don’t lose to this nobody!
Sway drops to his back, and locks in the body scissors on Raiden.
Kohl: I don’t know Beast, Raiden looks like he’s losing consciousness!
Sway pulls back too far on the dragon sleeper, inadvertently putting his shoulders to the mat.
Beast: His shoulders are down! Count ref!
The ref counts two, but Sway panics and throws Raiden off of him. Raiden is now completely limp, laying on the mat.
Kohl: Sway almost lost the match for himself here!
Sway looks to the applauding crowd in awe. He points to Raiden, and then points to the sky. The crowd cheers even harder.
Kohl: Is Sway Archer going to ‘Touch The Sky’?
Sway jumps out on to the apron, points to the rafters, and then hits the springboard shooting star press.
Kohl: Sway Archer! Touch The Sky!
Beast: Oh for Christ’s sake, kick out Raiden!
Sway hooks both legs, and drives his feet with the pin.
1!
2!
3!
Kohl: Sway Archer advances to Round 2 of the West Coast Classic! He will face Darius Seeiso next week on Vindication!
Beast: May god have mercy on this young man’s soul. You beat Raiden, now you face the Night’s Prince.
The bell rings and Sway springs to his feet, still clutching his neck. He jumps to the top rope, and points to the sky, before pointing to all the fans, and playfully applauding along.
*COMMERCIAL BREAK*
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We return from the commercial break to see a smartly Jensen in the ring holding a mic, the fans are cheering in applause at the home town hero. He holds the mic up and begins to talk.
"I'm grateful to be back and I am grateful of all the support I received during my period of injuries. It was tough for me, not being in the ring every week, but I am happy to have had my small part in the GCW Rumble. When I am back to fitness I hope to be challenging for the International Championship again very so-"
‘Love the way you hate me’ begins to blare as Kidd West steps out casually dressed, International Championship draped over one shoulder and a mic in his other hand
“I’m sorry Jensen, but did you hit your head too hard when you went through those tables? What makes you think you have any right to challenge for my GCW International Championship. I know what hipsters like you and the rest of this damn city think and let me tell you, this title is too mainstream for you. But not to worry, I’m sure you could always challenge for the Hardcore Championship. If you don’t hurt yourself getting out the ring of course”
The fans boo loudly as West stands on the stage grinning, he begins cupping his arms against his ears to welcome the boo’s. Suddenly Jensen speaks up.
“Well, I can’t fight you tonight, but I know someone deserving of the opportunity and that man is… The Answer!”
The Answer steps out to applause from the crowd carrying his prestigious title.
"As a man good enough to make his own god damn championship belt that is now being officially recognized by GCW, I think I deserve more respect. I know you all love me, but do you all respect me? One way to gain more respect from you assholes is to beat two guys that have been in this spot for longer then I've even been here. So I'm going to appeal to not only you Portland pricks, but to the international audience is well. Thank you Jensen, fuck you Jensen, let me do my job."
West goes face to face with him before laughing and turning to Jensen
“Tell you what! If The Answer can beat me tonight then he can get a shot at my International Championship at the upcoming PPV. Not that he stands a chance anyway.”
West storms off into the back as the crowd cheers for tonight's match.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beast: Now that is going to be a fantastic match later on! My boy Answer is finally getting the opportunity to win big.
Kohl: I must agree that will be one great match. But it is later on tonight. Right now we continue on with the West Coast Classic as Heat C is about to begin with Kenji Yamada versus Ken Hart.
Beast: Hey Kohl did you hear? Kenji is a part time music producer.
Kohl: I did actually, he recently told me that he wishes to bring his passion for music into GCW through his Wrestling and "Style"
Beast: What does he mean by Style?
Kohl: I'm not quite sure but we may get our answer right now.
WCC Round 1 Heat C Kenji Yamada Vs Ken Hart
Kenji's "Style" had certainly changed as he came out with a jumpy entrance and flashy attire of white and black tights with a fedora to match. The match itself was an all-out brawl with both men laying into each other throughout the match. However, it was Kenji who came out victorious after debuting his new finisher "Drop the Bass."
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kohl: That was one hell of a brutal encounter.
Beast: Well that's what you get when you put Strong Style against Brawl Style. I'm surprised no one was busted open.
Kohl: So am I Beast. Oh, i'm just receiving word that we have got an interview with Kenji on the way. Let's go backstage to hear it.
*The camera cuts to Kenji backstage, wincing from the pain he's in as an interviewer prepares to ask their questions*
Interviewer: So Kenji, how's does it feel to advance to the Semi Finals of the West Coast Classic?
Kenji: I couldn't tell you exactly how I feel. Everything right now is going so fast that i have no time to actually take it all in. But what i do know is that i'm enjoying every minute of i-
*Kenji is cut off as Simon Cade crashes a chair straight into Kenji's back. The interviewer runs off as Simon continues to use the chair on Kenji's back. Once the chair is sufficiently broken, Simon lifts up Kenji and throws him back first into the concrete wall, leaving him in a mess on the floor*
Simon: Did you not think I would get you back for nearly eliminating me!? You made a huge mistake buddy, and you better be ready to pay the price!
*Simon walks off as medical staff check on Kenji who is still lying very still on the ground.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kohl: Well ladies and Gentlemen, i hope we can eventually get an update on Kenji as the night progresses.
Beast: Well he should have seen it coming! What did he expect to happen when he attempted to eliminate the Hardcore Champ?
Kohl: You mean when he did eliminate Simon?
Beast: No, i mean attempted, the refs never saw it so it never happened. Those are the rules.
Kohl: Well you expect he would have some respect for the rules.
Beast: *laughs* Wow Kohl, you are one funny guy sometimes. Got any more jokes in that brain of yours?
Kohl: How about the Answer's match is coming up next?
Beast: That's not funny.
Kohl: It was to me. Anyway we heard the stipulation earlier, if the Answer can defeat Kidd tonight he will get an International title match. So here we go with Kidd West versus the Answer.
Kidd West Vs The Answer (summarised by Kidd West)
Kidd West swaggers holding his title in one hand staring at the crowd as ‘Love the way you hate me’ plays. He marches into the ring at raises it high up in the air and points at himself to taunt the fans.
‘Man on the silver mountain’ plays as The Answer storms down holding the Prestigious Championship above his head. Storming into the ring grinning as he swings it about.
The bell rings as West and The Answer rush to the middle and trade blows. West locks him in a quick headlock before whipping him into the ropes and quickly elbowing him into the face. As the Answer lays on the ground West begins to take several large steps back and then hits The Answer with a running leg drop. Standing up to play to the crowd he cups his ears to the chorus of boos before making a belt symbol around his waist. As The Answer gets back up West dashes forward and begins to lay into him with several swift yet painful punches which sends the Answer back against the ropes.
West quickly picks up the Answer to go strike him with the Judge & Jury however the Answer quickly knees West in the head repeatedly resulting in him dropping The Answer. Answer begins kicking into him and punching him, sending West to the ground. Running into the ropes The Answer goes to hit West with a running elbow drop. West however, rolls out of the way sending The Answer down and crashing into the match hurting his funny bone and sending him rolling in pain. West suddenly picks him up and grins hitting The Answer with a Snap Scoop Slam.
As West listens to the boo’s of the fans he goes to the top rope and laughs at The Answer. Readying himself.
Kohl: Is West going to attempt the Graceful Calamity!
Beast: The disrespect to The Answer is unreal!
West goes to hit The Graceful Calamity when suddenly ‘The Pines’ by Portugal. The Man plays throwing West off and sending him flying past The Answer and landing face first against the mat knocking himself out. The Answer seeing the opportunity rushes to pick up West and as an act of returning the disrespect, sends him crashing to the mat with a Judge & Jury. The Answer goes for the pin. 1...2...3!!!
Kohl: THE ANSWER HAS DONE IT! HE HAS HIS TITLE SHOT!
Beast: If West wasn’t so cocky he would have easily had this in the bag. The Answer has a lot of improving to do ahead of Justice if he seriously wants to stand a chance!
Jensen rushes to the ring to celebrate with The Answer as the home crowd cheers. Suddenly Clint Bishop steps out clutching a mic.
Clint: Now Jensen, Since you feel you are 100% fit enough to obviously be aiding people in matches tonight, I have a special opponent for you. None other than the monster himself… MASON JAMES. Don’t call this punishment, call it… a reward if you will. Its your reward for aiding The Answer. Oh and to add to your reward, this match is the final heat in the West Coast Classic!
Kohl: Well the crowd seem happy about it. The hometown hero Jensen will be in action in the West Coast Classic next against Mason James!
*Cut to Commercial*
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
WCC Round 1 Heat D Jensen Vs Mason James
*As the commercial finishes, the camera pans to Jensen who is running the ropes in preparation for his opponent to enter*
Fink: And his opponent, being accompanied by Ian Dawson, from Derby England, weighing in at three hundred and one pounds, He is the expressionless, MASON JAMES!
*Boiling Point by BatAAr begins playing as Mason James enters, standing on the entrance ramp, looking around at the crowd. With Ian telling him his final advice, Mason begins walking slowly down the ramp, fixing his blank stare directly on Jensen. The crowd scream out boos as Mason ignores them all. Without breaking eye contact, Mason enters the ring over the top rope before cracking his neck from side to side in preparation for his match*
*With both men in their respective corners, the bell rings*
Kohl: Here we go Folks! Jensen is beginning to move around Mason, possibly looking for the perfect place to begin.
Beast: Yeah, good luck with that Jensen, there’s nowhere you can start on someone as tall as Mason.
Kohl: Well he’s going to have to find some way of taking him on. And here he goes, swift punches to the midsection of Mason, but none of them have any effect. Jensen runs back to the ropes looking for a springboard...NO! Mason clobbers Jensen with a vicious double axe handle!
Beast: Wow! I could feel that from here! He probably won’t think of doing that again.
Kohl: You’re certainly right partner. Mason is now picking up Jensen into a gorilla press...And down Jensen comes! He’s rolling towards the corner, clutching his chest. Mason’s turning around and begins running to the cor-JENSEN MOVES OUT THE RING! Smart move there! Mason seems dazed as Jensen begins kicking at his legs, trying to get the big man down. He’s on one knee. DDT To Mason! Jensen with the pin…1…2…OH MY GOD! Mason just threw Jensen off him!
Beast: That just shows the size difference of these two. Jensen was just thrown off as if he was a bag of feathers!
Kohl: Both men are up to their feet. Collar and elbow tie up, Mason with the upper hand, bringing those massive arms down on Jensen’s back as he falls onto the bottom rope. Mason now trying to choke Jensen on the rope but the ref breaks him up and pushes him…WAIT A MINUTE! Ian Just slammed Jensen’s head into the mat! That was uncalled for!
Beast: What do you mean that’s uncalled for? Ian took the opportunity given to him. That’s smart.
Kohl: That’s cheating. Mason grabbing Jensen’s back, lifting him straight into a German suplex! Mason with the cover…1…2…TWO AND A HALF! Still no signs of emotion from Mason even after the close finish. He’s got Jensen in a reverse fireman’s carry, and transitions into a torture rack, wrenching on his back with a mighty force. The look on Jensen’s face says it all.
Beast: He should tap now. That torture rack is locked in deep. Mason has no intention of breaking the hold until he snaps Jensen like the twig he is.
Kohl: But listen Beast. The crowd are getting behind Jensen, chanting “let’s go Jensen Let’s go.” You can see it’s rallying him up. Jensen with multiple punches to the head, and he’s free! Mason seems groggy. Pele Kick right on the noggin! Jensen runs to the corner, here it comes… THE SHOTGUN DROPKICK! But Mason’s still on his feet! Jensen’s runs onto the ropes…HE HIT IT! Springboard clothesline! Mason’s down! The cover…1…2…MASON KICKS OUT!
Beast: How in the world did he kick out after such a well put together collection of moves? He really IS the monster Ian says he is!
Kohl: I couldn’t agree more. But Look at Jensen. He’s signalling it. He’s ready for censored colours. Mason slowly making his way back up.
Beast: There’s no way that pimp squeak can lift Mason up!
Kohl: But he’s going for it! He’s got Mason set up. He tries to lift, but he’s struggling...OH NO! Mason spins out and pulls Jensen into a belly-to-belly suplex! BUT WAIT, HE HOLDS ON…Another belly-to-belly! NOT AGAIN! A third belly-to-belly, flinging Jensen across the ring! Look at Mason just standing there. Staring a hole right into Jensen. He looks at Ian, “DO IT” comes the response. He grabs Jensen into an inverted DDT hold. HERE IT IS…THE MASON MASSACRE!! Jensen’s body bounces off the floor!
Beast: GOOD. NIGHT. JENSEN!
Kohl: Mason with the cover…1…2…3…MASON WINS.
-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Beast: That was brutal Kohl. I’ve never seen so much destruction by a single man! Jensen didn’t stand a chance.
Kohl: I wouldn't say that Beast, Jensen put up one hell of a fight but in the end, he just couldn't pin Mason for a three count.
Beast: So we have our final 4.
Kohl: So we do Beast, Darius, Sway, Mason and if he is ok to compete after the brutal assault by Simon, Kenji.
Beast: Well this tournament is setting up to be quite the spectacle. What could possibly top those matches?
Kohl: How about A fatal-4-way match between Aaron Black, Shio Corin, John Styles and the new World Heavyweight Champion, Owen Hawes?
Beast: Yes, that could possibly top it.
Kohl: I thought so. So let's jump into our Main Event Fatal-4-Way match.
Aaron Black Vs Shio Corin Vs Owen Hawes Vs John Styles
With some of the best wrestlers in the GCW in the same ring at the same time, it was no wonder no one had control over this match for too long. Every man got their fair share of moves in from Aaron hitting a German suplex into the corner to Shio performing a springboard stunner. But after Aaron took out Shio along with himself onto the outside, it left Owen on his own with John where he hit Lucid Dreams, leaving him down long enough for the 3 count and the win.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Kohl: That was a fantastic Main Event to end our first Vindication of 2017 on.
Beast: I have to agree with you there, that was a star studded match and one we might not get again.
Kohl: Well i certainly hope we can see it again and we hope to see you again next week on GCW's Vindication. Good Night!
*Fade to Black*
