Kohl: Welcome Ladies and Gentlemen to Vindication LIVE from Amsterdam, Netherlands! We've got a stacked schedule tonight so let's get right into the first match, a tag match featuring the team of King Ropati and Ken Hart taking on the intimidating team of Gamga Block and Graydon Luther.
Beast: Surely this match can only end one way! What do you expect Ropati and Ken to do against two beasts like these two?
Kohl: You don't know Beast, there can be some surprises in store.
King Ropati & Ken Hart VS Gamga Block and Graydon Luther
This match was very one sided to begin with as the sheer power of Gamga and Graydon took over early on. However, Ropati and Ken shouldn't be counted out so easily as a hot tag to Ken swung the momentum his teams way. In the end, a snapshot by Ken Hart was enough to put Gamga away and give his team a surprise victory.
Kohl: What did i tell you Beast? Anything can happen in GCW so you can't predict the ending.
Beast: Fine, you may have been right this time, but surely you can't disagree with me at how one sided are next match is?
Kohl: I guess you might be right on this one. So let's get straight into it as The expressionless Mason James takes on the team of Zachary Hayden and Washington in a handicap match.
Mason James VS Zachary Hayden & Washington
Fink: The following 2 on 1 handicap match is scheduled for one fall, already in the ring, the team of Zachary Hayden and Washington!
*the crowd stay silent as Zachary and Washington nervously wave to the crowd, still thinking about their opponent*
And their opponent, from Derby, England, weighing in at 301 pounds, “the expressionless” Mason James!
*BatAAr’s Boiling point begins playing as Mason James walks slowly onto the stage with Ian behind him, looking out to the crowd. Fixing eye contact with Zachary and Washington, Mason begins walking to the ring, Ian whispering plans into his ear. Without breaking the eye contact, Mason climbs into the ring over the top rope and cracks his neck several times in preparation for the match*
*With Washington leaving the ring and Zachary and Mason in the corner, The bell rings*
Kohl: Well I’m going to be honest with you Beast, I can’t see this ending very well for Zachary and Washington.
Beast: You’ve got that right! I’ve got that Mason eats them both!
Kohl: I don’t think that will happen Beast. Zachary makes a move and begins throwing punch after punch at Mason’s body, but they have no effect on the big guy. Mason grabs Zachary’s head, and swiftly lifts in the air, what a hard fall from the gorilla press! Zachary rolls to his corner and Washington tags in. But is meted by a big boot straight to the face.
Beast: what a hot tag! Washington really did well there.
Kohl: A bit less sarcasm please Beast. Mason with the irish whip on Washington to the corner where Zachary has only just got up. What a big splash onto the two men! Zachary flops out the ring as Washington falls forward into a belly to belly suplex, and another, and one more! Mason is on a tear right now! He’s cracking his neck, we know where this is heading. Inverted DDT position, Mason lifts up Washington…Mason Massacre on Washington. Mason goes for the cover…1…2…3! It’s all over folks.
Fink: Here is your winner, Mason James!
Beast: Well that was the best few minutes of my life! Seeing two men being flung around like a sack of potatoes was hilarious.
Kohl: To each their own Beast. Mason surely showing his more aggressive side by dispatching of two guys at once. Let’s see what’s…wait a minute, Ian has entered the ring with a microphone. What could be on his mind?
Ian: Hold up, hold up. Did you really think we would leave it to just that? You people are as stupid as I thought! I hope you are watching Clint, because I told you we would make a statement here tonight! Mason, get him up!
*Instinctively, Mason lifts Washington and places him in another inverted DDT hold. He moves closer to ropes before lifting him up and dropping him with a Mason Massacre so his neck lands on the top rope. Washington’s body flails lifelessly onto the outside, landing very awkwardly on his head*
Ian: YOU SEE WHAT HAPPENS TO PEOPLE WHO AREN’T CAPABLE OF STEPPING UP TO A MONSTER LIKE MASON? DOES NO ONE HAVE THE BALLS TO TAKE HIM ON? Clint, you better find us some competition or we’ll find our own!
*Suddenly, Bloodlines by Dethklok plays as Graydon makes an appearance on the entrance ramp and stares at Mason who stare back. Graydon shouts some inaudible threats and awaits a response*
Ian: *after calming down* Actually Clint, don’t worry about finding Mason an opponent, we’ve found someone ourselves.
*With that Ian drops the mic and begins talking to Mason who still has his eyes locked on Graydon. The stare down continues right up to the fade to commercials*
*returning from commercials*
Kohl: Well that was an interesting encounter from Graydon and Mason. These two have some history even in their short time here in GCW.
Beast: SOME history? Graydon has cost Mason 2 matches already so they need some sort of blow off match to sort out their differences.
Kohl: Well that might be happening Beast as i have just received word that Mason James will take on Graydon Luther NEXT WEEK! But for right now let's head into the next match, Sway Archer against Diego Santos. This match was scheduled to be a tables match but Clint has ordered it to be a singles match so we can get a better view of the debuting Sway Archer.
Sway Archer VS Diego Santos
Fink: Ladies and Gentlemen, the following match is scheduled for one fall. Making his way to the ring, form Chicago, Illinois, weighing in at 189 pounds, Here is Sway Archer!
*As Kanye west’s black skinhead begins to play, the lights cut out. The drums hit in and the lights begin to flicker to the song. Sway emerges from the back and bobs his head to the music. He points to the stage before pointing to the sky, triggering a cheer from the crowd. Sway kisses his fist and begins swiftly making his way to the ring. He rolls into the ring and stands in the centre. He points to the sky once more as sparks rain from the sky. When they finish, he stands in the corner*
Fink: And his opponent, from Mexico City, Mexico, weighing in at 220 pounds, Diego, “The Ghost,” Santos!
*Pinnacle to the Pit begins playing as Diego slowly makes his way onto the ramp. He stops and brings out a chicken before it’s throat is slit in front of the crowd, bringing a silence to the crowd leading to a flourish of boos. Diego drops the chicken and walks to ring and enters it. He climbs onto the turnbuckle and wipes the blood off his hands on his chest before staring at Sway*
*With both wrestlers ready, the bell rings*
Kohl: Here we go, The British tour rumble winner and the debuting star, let’s see who will get the upper hand? The collar and elbow tie up, Diego with the headlock, they move to the ropes, Sway pushes Diego away to the ropes, What a clothesline by Diego!
Beast: Oh golly! Sway is feeling that!
Kohl: Sway looks rocked, he’s edging himself to the corner, Diego follows him. Look at those swift punches. Irish whip to the corner, Diego charges…Sway gets his boot up! Diego’s reeling. Sway runs at him and leaps into a hurricanrana. Sway’s turned him around onto his stomach, he’s locked in the koji clutch!
Beast: Surely this won’t do anything. We are still early doors.
Kohl: And you seem to be right partner, Diego is easily getting out of the hold and setting up for…yes! A gut wrench powerbomb! Going for the pin now…1…2..Sway kicks out! But Diego isn’t letting up, look at those knees right into Sway’s back. He’s stepping back…but charges with a vicious running knee to the face!
Beast: How is that move legal? Sway might have a broken jaw! Wait a minute…that would be awesome!
Kohl: But you just…nevermind. Diego looks like he wants to head to the top rope. He’s climbing the corner, looking for a diving senton…Sway Moves! The crowd are getting behind him now, waiting for a possible comeback. They are both making their way to their feet, Sway with a running headbutt! And Another! Irish whip in the corner, Forearm smash! Diego falls to the matt. The cover…1…2…Diego Kicks out!
Beast: Such an unorthodox comeback. Where did we pick this guy up from?
Kohl: Don’t be so hard on the guy, he’s putting up a great fight against Diego. Wait look at him, he’s jumping up and down by Diego, he must be looking to end it with touch the sky…NO! Diego rolls away and Sway lands hard. Woah! Look at the speed of Diego, he’s already up and has got Sway in a small package position… THE GHOST WHISPERER CONNECTS! Diego rolls up Sway…1…2…3! Diego is the winner!
Fink: Here is your winner, Diego Santos!
Kohl: An amazing effort from both competitors here tonight! Neither one wanted to lose, but in the end, Sway just couldn’t finish the Ghost. I hope we see these two in a match together in the future when they both gain some experience.
Beast: What is it with debuting guys not winning their first match? First Mark Jackson, then Mason James and now Sway!
Kohl: It could just be coincidence Beast, i can't give you a definitive answer.
Beast: Speaking of Answer, we have a title match next!
Kohl: I guess you're right Beast. After the announcement by Clint last week, The Answer's Prestigious Title is now set under 24/7 rules so every match is a title match. But do you really want to win that abomination of a title?
Beast: Hey! It's a title isn't it? I'd accept it gladly!
Kohl: Well that's your opinion then but let's watch this triple threat match between Answer, Simon Cade and Jack Rodgers!
The Answer vs Simon Cade vs Jack Rodgers
A very technical Triple Threat match with no competitor getting the outright advantage. Simon showed his more hardcore side, living up to the hardcore title. Jack Rodgers didn't seem 100% as he was never able to make too much of an impact in the match. But it was Answer who was able to pick up the win after Simon hit the breakdown on Rodgers and Answer snapped up the opportunity by throwing out Simon and Pinning Jack.
Kohl: What a sneaky move by Answer, Simon had that match won!
Beast: Sneaky? That was a great move! He saw the opportunity and took it. And best of all, he's still the champion!
Kohl: You really do love that title don't you? I could see you cashing in on that 24/7 rule!
Beast: Hey! Don't give away my plan!
Kohl: Fine, but let's jump to our second to last match: The cheated vs Nigel's favourite Fighters. Daniel Widdel and John Styles vs Kidd West and Stunray in a tornado tag match.
Daniel Widdel & John Styles VS Kidd West and Stunray
This match was absolute chaos! With no need to tag in, all 4 competitors were going at each other constantly with some insane spots such as a double dive to the outside by Widdel and Styles. No one could tell who was going to win until the very end where, with Widdel holding down Stunray on the outside, Styles was able to execute the styles stomp on Kidd to pick up the 3 count.
Kohl: A great show of teamwork by Widdel and Styles to pick up the win against two very good competitors.
Beast: Yeah i guess they did pretty well with each other. But there wasn't really many chances for teamwork as the tornado tag stipulation just made the match too difficult to watch.
Kohl: The intensity was definitely high in that match but overall it was a great match with some awesome spots. But now let's get to a final match of the night: The Heavyweight Champion Shio Corin versus Drew Murdock in a no holds barred match!
Shio Corin VS Drew Murdock
“The following contest is your main event of the evening scheduled for one fall!”
“I am phenomenal!” blasts across the arena with the opening line of Eminem’s Phenomenal. With it comes Shio Corin through the curtain.
“Introducing first, from Camden, New Jersey, weighing in at 225 pounds, he is the Global Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion of the World, ladies and gentlemen, this is Shio Corin!”
A chorus of cheers and boos ebb and flow throughout the arena. Shio Corin enters the ring, awaiting his opponent.
-
Royal Blood by Little Monster begins to play. The crowd begins to cheer, with Drew Murdock’s music lasting an awkwardly long time. Corin begins motioning to the stage, waiting for his opponent. The World Heavyweight Champion begins talking to the referee, complaining to him.
With that, another referee comes from the back and runs into the ring. His yelling can be caught by the house microphones, telling the other referee that something happened to Murdock. The titantron then shows a live feed of the locker room area, showing a bloodied Drew Murdock knocked out of the floor with a noose around his neck.
The referee whispers to Fink who begins to make the announcement.
“Ladies and gentlemen, due to Drew Murdock unable to compete, your winner by forfeit, the Global Championship Wrestling Heavyweight Champion of the World, Shio Cor…"
The arena’s lights going out interrupts Fink, followed by a voice that echoes throughout the arena.
“Family is such an odd thing. They say you can’t choose your family."
The lights come back on to show Shio’s brother Seth Corin’s classic mask in the middle of the ring. Shio notices it and picks it up, just as he touches it, a red spotlight falls on the World Heavyweight Champion.
“Shio, you had your family, and you destroyed it. You chose to leave your family while mine was taken away from me! You broke yours apart while I had to create mine from the ground up.”
The source of the sound is revealed to be Owen Hawes, who is standing at the top of the stage holding a microphone, with a man in a chair tied behind him. There is a black hood covering the man’s face.
“Do you remember my first match? My first chance to stand toe to toe with the gods of the arena. I wasn’t given a god to battle. Instead, my opponent was the devil himself!”
Owen Hawes removes the hood off of the man, revealing an unmasked Seth Corin. A noose is lowered to the top of the stage, and Owen Hawes wraps it around the neck of Seth Corin.
"And now, comes my retribution!"
Shio immediately realizes what is about to happen, and quickly attempts to exit the ring to help his brother, but just as he is about to leave the ring, Owen Hawes’ pest enters the ring from behind him and grabs the Champion’s legs from behind him, tripping him. Pest refuses to let go of Shio’s legs. Meanwhile, the noose begins to rise, slowly lifting Seth off of the ground. Shio kicks Pest off of him and hits him with a quick Rapper’s Delight. He then runs up the ramp toward his brother. Just as he does, Owen Hawes turns around and leaves the arena. Shio hesitates a little, as he is thinking about whether to help his brother or finally get his hands on his tormentor. He finally decides to untie his brother, leaving Owen Hawes with the opportunity to get away.
